Accessibility statement

Accessibility

This portfolio was built so anyone can read the cases, move between pages and get in touch, regardless of how they access the web. Accessibility has been part of the project from the start, not an afterthought.

What is implemented

Keyboard navigation
Menus, filters, the testimonials carousel, sharing and enlarged images can all be used with the keyboard alone.
Visible focus
Interactive elements show a clear outline when they receive keyboard focus.
A link at the top of every page jumps straight to the main content, bypassing the menu.
Color contrast
Text and background colors were chosen to meet the minimum contrast recommended by WCAG level AA, in both light and dark themes.
Text alternatives
Informative images, logos and photos have descriptions in Portuguese and English; decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
Semantic structure
Each page has one main heading and a consistent section hierarchy, with the page language correctly declared.
Assistive technologies
Buttons and controls have accessible names, and actions such as copying a link are announced to screen readers.
Reduced motion
When the system requests less motion, animations are turned off and animated images are replaced with static versions.
Menus and enlarged images
Menus and image zoom keep focus inside the open window, close with Esc and return focus to where it started.

Conformance status

The features above follow good practices, using WCAG 2.1 as a reference. The site has not yet undergone an independent formal audit or full testing with people who use assistive technologies, so I do not claim full level AA conformance or any certification.

Found a barrier?

If anything on the site makes it hard to navigate, write to hello@anamaestri.com. I'll look into it and reply.
